Peace Silver Dollars Certified MS-64

One of the most desirable Silver Dollars

These beautiful 90% silver "Peace" Dollars are treasured mementos of our nation's history and remain one of the most desirable series of all U.S. Mint silver coins. They were originally minted to honor the end of World War I.

The Missing Silver Dollars

Chances are that high quality, investor grade Peace Silver Dollars may be missing from your collection. There are good reasons why. Peace Dollars were not minted for long. In fact, they were struck only intermittently from 1921 to 1928, then again in 1934/35 – a total of 10 short years.

By comparison, Morgan Silver Dollars were released in far larger quantities from 1878 to 1921. Both series were melted down by the millions for their silver content in support of World War II.

Today, the total known surviving MS-64 Peace Silver Dollars is just 27% of the number of Morgan Silver Dollars. Put another way, Peace Dollars are about FOUR times rarer– yet they trade at a lower price, at least for now.

125 Million People Collecting Coins

Silver Dollars are always popular with collectors. They're very big coins with intricately detailed designs, minted in 90% fine silver. Ultimately, every fine collection of U.S. coins includes high quality Silver Dollars.

Since 1999, we've seen steadily growing demand from millions of new collectors who began the hobby with Statehood Quarters or Gold Dollars. Recently, the U.S. Mint reported 125 million people in America are now collecting coins. While waiting for 8 new releases a year, many start collecting 20th Century coins.

First Collector Demand, Then Investor Demand

In the past year, we've seen more and more collectors putting away classic U.S. Silver Dollars. Since they're accustomed to seeing newly minted coins, they are very demanding and often insist on acquiring only higher quality coins. As these new collectors mature in knowledge and finances, no one can anticipate the kind of demand they will put on the high-end Silver Dollar market for many years to come.

At the same time, silver investors have been hoarding away anything minted in 90% fine silver from silver bars to silver dollars.
